LOW BACK

PAIN

LUMBAR SPINE:

The low back comprises of 5 "stacked" lumbar vertebrae with a variety of joints, tendons, ligaments, and muscles that are common sites for many injuries.  In fact, low back pain (LBP) is one of the leading causes of disability and effects over 80 million people every year. Sometimes people also refer to their sacroiliac joints (SI) and pelvic region as areas they experience their LBP.  Many people with LBP experience severe life-impacting pain and physical limitations due to this condition.  LBP has many different origins and presentations and should always be evaluated by a medical professional.
